Laserline Further Expands Its Management Team

Laserline is expanding its management trio to a quartet: Dr. Alexander Arndt has been appointed as the fourth Managing Director alongside Dr. Claus Narr and company founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause, effective January 1, 2026. The PhD-qualified mechanical engineer has been with Laserline since 2018 and has already held several key positions within the company. In his role as Managing Director, he is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Applications, as well as IT and Process Management.

formnext 2025: Laserline Presents First 30 kW Zoom Optics

Laserline will be presenting innovative optics solutions for industrial laser cladding at formnext 2025. The focus will be on a newly developed 30 kW zoom optic for flexible cladding processes, a new specialized optic for wear and corrosion protection coatings on internal geometries, and blue high brightness lasers for the additive manufacturing of non-ferrous metal components using laser-based powder bed processes.

Laserline at Schweißen & Schneiden 2025: Focus on High Brightness Lasers and Optics for...

Laserline will present a wide range of its diode lasers at Schweißen & Schneiden 2025. In addition to the new Blue High Brightness Laser for welding ultra-thin sheet metal structures, the focus will also be on solutions enabling more sustainable and efficient processing.

Laser World of Photonics 2025: Laserline presents complete portfolio of industrial diode lasers

Laserline is presenting the entire spectrum of its diode lasers at Laser World of Photonics. In addition to trade fair innovations such as LDL direct diode lasers and optical fibers for high-power applications, the main focus will be on achieving more efficient and sustainable machining processes.

Laser Drying Technology Takes Leap Forward: IDEEL Project Demonstrates Scalability for Efficient Battery Cell...

Electrode drying in the roll-to-roll process (R2R) has so far been one of the most cost- and CO2-intensive manufacturing steps in the production of lithium-ion batteries. A laser-based R2R drying process developed as part of the IDEEL research cooperation could change this in the future. It combines conventional, oven-based convection drying with laser drying using high-power diode lasers and reduces the drying time by more than 60 percent while maintaining the same quality of results.

Laserline Expands Management

Diode laser specialist Laserline is expanding its management team to optimally position itself for further growth. Dr. Claus Narr became the company's third managing director on January 1, 2025. Dr. Narr, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, can already look back on more than 13 successful years at the company and will now manage Laserline together with the founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause.

Laser Systems for Manufacturing and Recycling of Copper-based Electronic Components: Laserline at Coiltech 2025

Contacting copper windings in electric motors, additive manufacturing of electronic components, recycling-oriented separation of solder connections: laser solutions for these and related challenges in the field of copper material processing will be presented by diode laser specialist Laserline at Coiltech 2025 in Augsburg, Germany.

SPIE Photonics West 2025: Laserline Presents Complete Range of Blue Diode Lasers for Copper...

Laserline will present its cutting-edge blue high-power diode lasers for processing copper and gold alloys at Photonics West 2025. A highlight of its showcase will be the world’s first blue 6 kW CW (continuous wave) diode laser, developed for high-efficiency laser cladding processes and additive manufacturing. The company will also highlight its blue high-brightness lasers designed for powder bed 3D metal printing. Additionally, Laserline will feature an infrared direct diode laser for drying battery foils.
